IE11でvSphereWebClient統合プラグインが機能せずDVDイメージが接続にならない

IE11でvSphere Web Clientを利用する場合、統合プラグインが正常に機能しない場合があります。

VMwareから対処法として出ている方法は以下になります。

●vSphere Web Client で、ローカルの ISO イメージを仮想マシンに接続できない。●vSphere Web Client の仮想マシン設定で、ローカルディスクにある CD/DVD イメージ (ISO) に接続するオプションが利用できない。

そして、以下が解決方法です。

●ローカルマシンにある ISO イメージに仮想マシンを接続する場合は、次のいずれかのオプションを使用します。vSphere Client を使用します。
●ローカルディスクにある ISO イメージに接続する機能を持つスタンドアロン VMRC をダウンロードしてインストールします。詳細については、「Downloading and Installing the standalone VMware Remote Console (VMRC) in vSphere 5.x and 6.0 (2091284)」を参照してください。
●VMware Workstation 11 を使用して vCenter Server または ESXi ホストに接続します。

他にもIE11より以前のバージョンをする、もしくは他のブラウザGoogle Chrome ,Firefoxを利用するなどの対処法も別のKBで書かれています。

ただ、環境によっては別のブラウザを準備するのが難しかったり、古いバージョンのIEを利用するのが難しい場合があると思います。

そこで、IE11でvSphere Web Clientを利用する方法があります。その方法がVMwareコミュニティに紹介されていました。

I don't know whether anybody else have come across this:

When you access the vSphere Web Client on Windows 8.1 -

1)Using Google Chrome in Desktop Mode, the web integration plugin works fine and you can authenticate with your current AD user account and launch the remote console as well. (This will probably be the default for a lot of users, which is fine and hence the absence of related topics on Google Search)

As soon as you switch Chrome over to Windows 8 mode, the plugin is not recognised as installed (Option to use local user authentication is greyed out) and prompts you to download. The remote console option within the web client also prompts for an installation of the plugin.

I don't think this is necessarily a Vmware or Google problem, because...

2)Using IE11 in either Windows 8 mode or Desktop mode, the plugin is not recognised as installed (Option to use local user authentication is greyed out). When you change IE11 back to IE9 compatibility, the option to log in is available, but when ticked, does not pick up your username.

we had the same issue. The vSphere Integration plugin was installed but was greyed out in the IE11 under Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012R2.

The User runs also the vSphere Web Client under Citrix XenApp 6.5.

So we implement the Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) Enterprise Mode and run the website of the web client in this mode and now it works.

●グループポリシーを使ってエンタープライズモードを有効にするには

①グループポリシーエディターを開き、[管理用テンプレート]、[Windows コンポーネント]、[Internet Explorer] の順にクリックして展開し、[エンタープライズモード IE の Web サイト一覧を使用する] の設定に移動します。

②[有効] をクリックし、[オプション] 領域にサイト一覧の場所を入力します。

また、同じ場所にあるポリシーで、ユーザーにエンタープライズモードを利用するサイトを指定させる事もできます。

[コンピューターの構成] または [ユーザーの構成]、 [管理用テンプレート]、 [Windows コンポーネント]、 [Internet Explorer]、[ツール] メニューから[エンタープライズモードを有効にして使用できるようにする]
